WEDDING BELLS.

RING FOR LOCAL BRIDE. BOMBACH—BIRD. A very quiet wedding took place in the Pahiatua Methodist Church on August 16th, the contracting parties being Mr Frederick J. L. ltombach Mnd Miss Kileen Bird, both of Man«>At»iiioka. The bridegroom was attended by Mr Chris Meng, of Ballance, while Mrs A. Olson acted as matron ot horour. The brido was given away by her uncle Mr J. Bird, of Palmerston North. Mrs Rombach, mother of the bridegroom, presided at the organ. The wraiding breakfast took place at 'the residence of Mrs Rombach, where a happy company foregathered. The Rev. C. M. Roberts proposed the health of the bridal couple and his remarks were supplemented by Messrs Meng (2) and Olson. The health of the bridegroom's mother was proposed by Mr Meng, senr., while that of the ladies was responded to by Airs Rombach. Mr s Roberts proposed the health of the gentlemen. At the conclusion of the festivities the happy couple left by car for their honeymoon at Wanganui and Taranaki, the bride’s travelling dress being a woollen royal blue ensemble. Their future homo will be at Rongotea.
