The personnel of the special departmental committee appointed by ihe Government to make a thorough survey of the industrial and economic position of the country with a view t<> finding useful avenues of employment for able-bodied people now out of work was announced last evening by the Acting-Minister of Labour, Don. C. "Webb. The several departments represented on the committee, which is to report to the Government, and their representatives, are as follow: Housing: Mr j. A. Lee, M.P. and Mr A. Tyndall. Education: Mr F. C. Renyard. Defence: Mr H. Turner and Colonel O 11. Mead. Public Works: Mr R. A. Patterson and Mr T. Barnicott. Railways: Mr E. Casey. Industries and Commerce: Mr F. Johnson.

Labour Department: Industrial Division, Air H. E'. Moston ; Employment Division, Mr A. J Ridler.
