NATIONAL PARTY.
MEETING AT EKETAHUNA. Electric Telegraph —Press Association EKETAHUNA, August 24. A definite assurance that the Hon. Adam Hamilton had been selected with particular care to lead the National Party was given an Eketahuna - audience by Mr H. F. Toogood, of Wellington, to-night. Every attempt ha d been made by political opponent's to belittle Mr Hamilton, but anyone who knew him personally knew him as a man to be honoured and respected. He was an educated man, who had studied as a theological student, and as well was a farmer and business man. Above all, he was a New Zealander. (Applause). When a person said Mr Hamilton was keepling the seat for somebody else he could (give that the lie direct, because Adam Hamilton would continue to lead tlie National Party and he was going to be the Prime Minister after the next general election (Applause) .
