MUSICAL CLUB.

FORTNIGHTLY SOCIAL EVENING The Pahiatua Musical Club's fortnightly social was held in St. Peter's Sunday school last evening alter tlie usual club practice. Airs Lovelock and the M isses H. Hoi rax and M. Xaugliton acted as lie stesses. Air Tattle welcomed three old members who are visiting the district Aliss H. Ross and Alessrv G. L. Stafford and Sutchell. Air L. Hartley (piano) and Air Fairwcather (violin) rendered a duet and Aliss Horrax a song. B*»tli items were very much appreciated. After s’tipper was served Dr. Paterson was called upon to give so me humorous stories and ii« his usual inimitable manner he told many amusing anecdotes of University life in his student clays. After this Mr Stafford, in a most interesting talk, gave some of his impressions of life in Hnntly. Air Tattle* thanked beth speaker** for their contributions to the programme.
