FIREMEN FOREGATHER.

PRESENTATION TO AIR. I. LUCAS. 011 Saturday evening members and honorary members of the Pahiatua Fire Brigade assembled at the station to farewell Fireman Irwin Lucas, who has taken a position with the Palmerston North I>odge and Austin agents. Superintendent W. Lawry called on Mr Lucas to accept a luminous clock, suitably inscribed and, in doing so. paid, a tribute to his keen work in the brigade. He was pleased to see that Mr Lucas had not dropped the good work and had joineef tho Palmerston North brigade. On behalf of the honorary members Mr F. H. Lett also eulogised Mr Lucas' services.
