MID-WEEK WEDDING.

CITTADIXI—JEWITT. The marriage of Alice Mavis <“ Bubbles”), second daughter of Mr and Mrs J. H. Jewitt, of Eketahuua. with William Royden, only son or Mr and Airs W. A. Cittadini (Pahiatua), was quietly solemnised at St. Cuthbert’s Church, Eketahuna, on Wednesday morning last. The officiating clergyman was the Rev. L. Ives, and Miss Enid Brief meyer played the wedding music. The church had been decorated by friends of the bride with heather, narcissi and scarlet berries. The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, was attired in a model frock of floral stamped marocain in autumn tones. The longsleeved bodice with hand-stitched fngotting was fully gathered into the waist and at the neckline was placed a row of artificial flowers, while the full-length skirt was moulded to the figure. Brown shoes and a brown velour halo hat were worn and the -smatt ensemble was completed by a bouquet of freesias, Iceland poppies and fern. The bride was attended by her younger sister, Gladys, who wore a slim-fitting frock of lime green maroon in. The bodice bad a cape circularedged with pleating and deeply cut on one side, the other side being finished with a boxr. Her Mexican sailor hat toned with her frock and sandals of black velvet and black mittens were worn, the toilette being completed with a bouquet of autumn-tinted flowers. She wore a gold signet ring, the gift of the bridegroom. The bridegroom was supported by his cousin, Air C olin Fredericksen. At tin* reception which followed, the bride’s mother received the ■guests wearing a mulberry, furtrimmed coat over a frock' of the f-ame shade, her hat being cn suite.
