RAY NICOL ARRIVES.
TITLE HOLDER VERY FIT. Looking bronzed, hard and fit Ray Nicol booked in at the Commercial Hotel this afternoon soon after his arrival from AA'ellington. Chatting with a. Herald reporter Nicol said he was in very good trim and had now fully recovered from the injury to his ear drum. AN AMUSING INCIDENT. After a very light lunch Nicol gave an order for an. underdone steak far dinner lo the waitress in the hotel and asked for a similar fare to be served him all to-morrow. The waitiess who took his order seemed a little doubtful at the time but said nothing. After Nicol left the room she asked the Pressman if he is -ally meant it 1 “Yes.” replied the writer, “he meant it all right for he has a big job to put over to-morrow night and that steak will be very essential. ” And so an enlightened waitress went her way having found cut something of the needs of a fighting man.
