M.C.C. V. POVERTY BAY.

EASY WIN FOR ENGLISHMEN, Electric Telegraph—Press Association GISBORNE, Last Night. M.C.C. beat Poverty Bay by 192 runs. Having declared yesterday with five wickets down for 206, the visitors proceeded to dismiss the local team for 105, but this morning, instead of forcing a follow-on, they sportingly elected to bat again, declaring with nine down for 158. For the Bay, Robertson, Bennett, Fraser and Blatliwayt bowled especially well.

Requiring 260 in 2* hours, Bay opened their second innings, but found it almost impossible to score off the superb-length trundling and were all out for 67.
