THE EX-KING’S FUNERAL.

PREPARING FOR TUESDAY.

MEETING THIS MORNING. The Borough Council representatives (the Mayor, Or. J. 13. Wilson, and Crs. J. W. Sturton and W. T. Brown) met Revs. H. Wilson and K. L. W arren this morning to discuss plans for the service to be held on Tuesd iv in connection with the funeral of the late King George V. . The time of the service is not yet Lknown, but it will probably take in the morning. The imblic bodies to be invited to the ceremony are: The Municipal Band, Returned Soldiers’ Association, Volunteers, Boy Scouts, Girl Guides, Eire Brigade, Friendly Societies, matron and nurses of the hospital, choirmasters and choirs (under the baton of Mr A. W. Hamilton) chairman and members of the Pahiatua County Council, School Committees and the Pahiatua Progressive Association. The ceremony will take place at the flagstaff if the weather is fine.
