PASSENGERS UP. STOCK DOWN. Mr J. Curtin, station master, supplies the return ot railway business lor the last four weeks, ami it indicates that less fat stock has been shifted, so lar. pointing to a lateness in the lambing season as cornpared with last year. For the period December It). 1935, to January 18, 1936, 17.712 lambs had gone forward, which is a slight decrease over last year's total at this period. Passengers carried in this period aggregated 796. and this brought in £l92—an increase of £23 over the corresponding period of last year. In all 58 cattle were transp rted from Mangamutu, and 411 tons of produce. Parcels (including checked luggage) car lied realised £3-5. and the total goods revenue was £l37o—an increase* of £B4, and a tonnage increase of 51. ,
