While returning to Tologa Bay on Monday evening on the last lorry of logs being transported to Tologa Bay for shipment to K.D.V. Box Company, Auckland, John J. Pritchard, aged 59. a widower, was thrown to the ground and crushed by logs which became dislodged when the lorry was passing another vehicle. Pritchard bad a leg fractured ami was suffering from shock. He was removed to the Cook Hospital in a fairly serious condition death ensuing this evening.
