Miss Barbara Swainson, Pahiatua, is the guest of [Miss Valmai Richardson, Talavera Terrace, Wellington. Misses Jean Reid, Margaret Kerr, Valerie Oram and Betty Muir, pupils of [Miss Gwen Gibbs, Palmerston North, have been notified of tlieir success iii the recent examinations conducted by Mr Felix Demery, of [London, oil behalf of the Royal Academy of Dancing.
Fitting tribute was paid yesterday at the half-yearly council meeting oT the Bush-Wairaragia Federation of Women's Institutes, held at Haniua. to the late Mrs C. Walker, president of the Mangatainokn Institute, and a prominent Federation worker. On the motion of Mrs J. I). C. Crewe a vote of condolence was passed to the relatives of this popular member.
