MANGAHAO FIRE.
A two-roomed cottage adjoining ytho house of Mr R. Gregory. at Manga hac* also caught fire last night hut fortunately two strangers (believed to he from Dannovirke) who arrived early on the scene extinguished it. Both doors on the car shed were burnt off, the shed however. being left standing, r l he cause of Liu* outbreak is unknown though a, chimney. cruight alight early yesterday afternoon and it is suspected that this caused the later disastrous outbreak. The big dwelling wa s quite a landmark in the district and could never he replaced for anything like the amount of insurance coverage.
