The secretary reported that all the arrangements for the big lent wire finalised. He had interviewed Em Jacobs in Wellington a lew day*, ago, and that boxer bad intimated his willingness to act as a stand-by should either Reeve or O’Brien, tluough illness or any other unavoidable cause, lx* unable to take the ring. Mr Walsh also informed the meeting that all the "‘heads” of the Wellington Boxing Association would be at the fight, also Tim Tracey. a former professional lightweight champion of New Zt ala ml. and now a very >uo-ce-stul tutor of the fistic art*. Mr E. T. Horne informed the secretary that lie would »h* present at. the fray, and is bringing a car load of enthusia.sts with him. Mr Horn**, who is a strong backer of Harold Reeve, piesented the Hamua hoy :» few days ago with a twenty guineas gold watch. The former Pahiatua moisture dispenser has had two or three substantial wins lately through Harold's ring successes. The se< retard also announced that Mr L. Poupard. of Glen Oroua. bad forwarded a donation to the club of oi»e guinea*. All the amateur preliminary bouts will be finalised on Saturdav next.
