CARNIVAL PARK.

QUEHIF.D ITEM. At Tuesday’s annual meeting of the Carnival Park Domain Board an item on the balance-sheet, “Electric Power Board, “24 os,' was queried by Air G. Harold Smith, who facetiously remarked to Air J. D. Wilson, “perhaps your Board is overcharging us.” Air AYilson expressed the opinion that the amount included the balance of last year’s guarantee. This proved to lie correct. On the Power Board being approached on tile matter yesterday morning the following details of the account were supplied: “Goods (repairs to motor, belt, etc.). £6 10s; last year’s guarantee, £8 9s 8d ; this year’s guarantee, £8 4s 4d ; this year's electricity, £1 2s; total, £24 65.” The further particulars were given: “For the year ending 30th November, 1934, £1 10s 8d of electricity was used; the guarantee is £9 15s, less £1 lOs 8d for electricity, leaving a balance of £8 4s'4d.” The guar intee has now expired.
