APPRECIATIVE BOWLERS.
.PRESENTATION TO SECRETARY
Typifying the good fellowship which exists amongst members of the- Palliating Rowling Club a happy little function took place- at the end of rhe Club’s annual meeting on Saturday night when a presentation was made to the popular secretary (Air G. W. Chatwin) by his fellow members and associates on the green. Mr W. Britland. one of the vicepresidents, said that Air Chatwin had been cither president or secretarv f or the last seven years. He was secretary again this year and the office had never been filled so efficiently. Jlist as a mark of tin- great regard in which the bowlers held Air Chatwin they asked his acceptance of a smoker’s outfit (pipe, pouch and tobacco). The President (Dr. H. Paterson), similarly eulogised the indispensable worth of All* Chatwin who made feeling response to a gift, that had con.e to him lie said, as a complete surprise.
