KAITAWA LADIES’ HOCKEY CLUB.

ANNUAL AIEETING. '['he annual meeting of the above was held recently, Mr R. Cavanagh, of Hamua, presiding in the unavoidable absence of the president, Mr W. S. Lett. There was a good attendance. The balance-sheet showed a credit of £6 7s l£d. All the officers were re-elected. Mr A. “Knox was re-elected patron. It was decided to enter a team for the season's tournament. Mr Cavanagh gave a short address on the game and a very hearty vote of thanks was accorded him, also, to the president and Mrs Rett lor their continued support, to the press for its courtesies, and to all other supporters. The appointment of a club captain was deferred till the first practice game, which will be held shortly. A very hearty vote of thanks to the chair concluded the meeting.
