A suggestion that the reluctance of examiners in some accountancy subjects to provide model answers for the guidance of students at future examinations might arise from inability to explain their own questions was made by a speaker at the annual meeting of the Accountant Students’ Society at Christchurch. Particular reference was ms de to the unwillingness of examiners in economics and auditing, and it was suggested that this might be explained by their fear of having their answers criticised. It was mentioned that one examiner, when asked how he would answer a certain question he had set, replied. “I always get various answers to that question,” and gave no further information. -
