Parents and scholars, as well as several friends, attended the Sunday School picnic at the railway bridge last Friday. Games, swimming and a race programme filled in the dav aiid the ladies provided a plentiful lunch and afternoon tea. Aliss R. Leith presented each scholar with a wall text and thanked all who had helped to make the picnic such a success. The races were won by the following:—Boys' flat race, over lO years; Desmond Udy 1, Jack Goodin 2. Boys, under 10: W. Bartosh I, Buster Goodin 2. Girls, over 10: Nancy Harrington 1, Ethne Wenham 2. (**rls, under 10: Zeta Udy 1, Alarjory Wen ham 2. Bovs and girls, 5, 6 and 7 years: Lance Mabey 1, Peter Goodin 2. Under .5 years: Pat Russell 1, Maurice Tolley 2. Boys’ three-legged race : Nod Harrington and Buster Goodin 1, Dennis Webb and Wally Bartosh 2. Girls’ three-legged race: Joan Mabey and June Wenham 1, Zeta Udy and Alarjory Wenham 2. Five, six and seven years: Margaret) Tolley 1, Erie Mooney 2. Under five years : Pat Russell 1, Noeline Phillips 2. Married ladies’ book on head: Airs C. Rasmussen 1. Single ladies’ book on bead: K. Wenham 1, AI. Twenty man 2. Men’s book on bend: A. Parker I, C. Rasmussen 2. Swimming proved the most popular pastime among the children and adults. Mr and Mi ■s V.
