HASTINGS BOY DROWNED.

Electric Telegraph-—Press Association HASTINGS, Last Night. A death from drownincr when endeavouring; to rescue two girls who were bathing occurred this afternoon, the victim being lan Murray Schultze, aged 16. Schultze, together with an elder brother, had been swimming in a pool in the vicinity of Pukehou, 20 miles from Hastings, and had dressed. They were in the neighbourhood when two girls who had* gone in for a bathe after the boys had left the water, got into difficulties. Both boys went fully clothed to the rescue. The girls and the elder Schultze managed to rejpin safety, but the younger Schultze was drowned. His body was later recovered.
