Eiectric Telegraph—Press A ssociation GREIMOI'TH, September 20. the State school at Runanga was destroyed by fire early this morning. 4he mam buildings, consisting of five large classrooms the two primer rooms, dental clinic, two shelter sheds, and tool and wood sheds, were all completely demolished, and the only materials saved were the coni tents of the primer rooms and ih - dental clinic.
The absence of fire-fighting apparatus left the residents helpless to cope with the blaze.
Arrangements are being made to secure St. Thomas’ church gvmnas--111111 and the Druids’ Hall as temporary premises in which to carry on the school work.
