FINGERPRINT EVIDENCE.
Electric Telegraph—Press Association CHRISTCHURCH, Sept. 19. Fingerprints found on a piece of leadlight figured largely in a police case against Albert William Gaunt—lett, aged 25, labourer, who was charged’ to-day that on or about August 23 he broke and entered a SelfHelp store in Linwood Avenue and committed theft. The accused pleaded not guilty, and was committed to the Supreme Court for trial, bail being refused in the meantime.
