ANOTHER ADDRESS TO BE GIVEN. A meeting of the executive of the local branch of the Farmers’ Union was held in the office of the secretary (Mr J. A. Walsh) yesterday afternoon, when there were present— Messrs G H. Hodd (who presided), R. C. Y'ates. F. E. Ward. CT_ Jennings. .T. A. Gibson, A. -I Ratchet!. H. Cotter. J. H. Bremner. W. Fultou. T J. Cotter. J. Campbell. C J. Eising, E. R. Winkler. G. H. Brown, and G. F. Hoggard. Messrs Jas. Watson, secretary of the Wnirarapa Provincial Executive of the Farmers’ Union, and Air S. Freeman, of the Government- Agricultural Department. stationed at Mr.stcrtor., were also in attr uu slice The action of the president and the secretary in arranging a date. Tuesday, October 3rd, for a meeting of farmers for the purpose of hearing an address from an officer of the Live Stock Division on the subject of milk fever was endorsed, on the motion of Air Jennings, seconded by Air H. Cotter.
QUEST FOR NEW AIEAIBERS. AYith a view to augmenting the membership it -was mentioned by the chairman that a visit to the district from one of the Uniorrs organisers may be expected n- 'xt month. It was also decided to ask, the members of the executive to furnish a list of the farmers in their respective districts to the secretary, as such information would be valuable to tlie organiser in his quest for new members. The president. Air J. H. Bremner and the secretary were appointed to go into til3 question of unfinaneial members.
