Despite a loss of over £SOOO last year, due to the continuance of price-cutting, the directors of the Pukeiniro Collieries recommend a payment of a dividend of 5 per cent for the year ended August 31 This course is rendered possible by rea®°nof the very substantial reserves held by the company, which include over £66,000 held in Government stocks.
