The Presbyterian General Assembly had a long and warm discussion oil Dr. Aligns’ case, but reached no finality, wide diversion ol' opinion becoming more apparent as the session proceeded, the acting--Moderator making repeated appeals for order. An attempt is being made to-day to clarify the position.
