PRICES FIRM AT GISBORNE.
At the Gisborne stock sale a small yarding of fat sheep, all ewes of choice quality, came forward, and values advanced. First grade, 15s 6d to 17s 8d ; second grade, 10s to 12s 6d. Stores: Only a few offering. Dry ewes met a keen demand at higher ratbs. Well forward, 10s 6d ,to 10s 9d ; fairly good, 8s 2d to 9s Id. Other classes wore firm. Beef; Cows, 57s 6d to 655. A good part of the entry was unfinished, averaging 42s 6d. The annual draft of stud Polled Angus two-year-old bulls bn account of Mrs Harris, Poverty Bay, made 13 to 40 guineas, averaging 25 $ guineas.
