BASKETBALL GAMES.

In its report on the rep. basketball matches, the Woodville Examiner says : The Foxton goalies showed their merit by opening the play' with six smart goals. The Bush defence was unable to cope with their rapid play, but showed improvement as the game progressed. The centres of i m- 1 f eams showed quickness and ability. Bush gaining on their opponents toward the end. There was never a large margin between the scores, but Busli came with a rattle in the end and delighted their supPorters with snappy movements. Ihe Foxton defence gave an excellent display. An . exciting tussle ended with the score 22—21 in the visitors’ favour. For Bush. goals were thrown by L. Jensen (12), J. Lovell (6), and M. Mules (3). The Bush juniors met Foxton B and recorded an easy win bv 26 goals to 13.

Both games were under the capable control of Mrs Russell, of Pahiatua.
