GERMANY’S TREMENDOUS EFFORTS
WHAT SHE CAN DO IN FEW MONTHS. (Received 10.10 a.md United Dress Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. STRASBOURG, September 3. The newspaper Dernieres Nouvelleg states that Germany is making tremendous efforts to equip herself for war and could produce most requirements within .six months. She has the advantage of having no out of date war material, but what she may produce will be based on pcst-war experience in other countries. This applies particularly to aircraft. Every chemical factory can be converted to make asphyxiating gas of which sufficient quantities can be produced in three months. Rifles and ammunition can be manufactured sufficient for initial requirements within six months, though it will take ten mouths to produce sufficient heavy artillery. The motorisation of field armies and supply columns has proceeded so far that in four months alt war requirements will be available.
