WEDNESDAY’S ENTERTAINMENT.
A splendid entertainment is in store for residents on Wednesday when the Rongotai College. Dramatic Society 7 will give- an entertainment on behalf of the funds of the local District High School. The four plays will comprise the following: “Down Limehouse Way,” in which the scene is set in a Chinese opium den. It is a tale of hate and oi? love—a love that never dies. This is a very dramatic production. •The Double Bluff,” featuring the burglar, the society crook, the lady and the diamond necklace. “It’ll Happen Again,” written bv one of the boys in the company. This play was presented at the British Drama League Festival in Wellington and received very favourable mention. “The Worm that Turned,” set in far away Baghdad. In this Selim, the cobbler, avenged his beard and the piece reveals ill-treatment meted out to him by his shrew of a wife.
Tickets can. be obtained from the chairman "of the committee (Mr G. Godfrey .Taylor) or any other member of the committee. Offers of billeting the boys will be gratefully received by the committee.
