SERIOUS CHARGES.
WAIROA RESIDENT TO STAND TRIAL. Electric Telegraph—Press Association WAIROA, This Day. At the local court yesterday Albert Edward Habgood wa. s charged with intent to defraud and that he attempted to obtain from the Royal Insurance Company £l5O by representing that liis motor truck was accidentally burned. He was further charged with making a false declaration, which would have amounted to perjury if made on oath. After a lengthy hearing accused was committed for trial at the next sitting of the Supreme Court at Napier.
