A NATIONAL STRIKE.
REPORT UNAUTHORISED. Electric Telegraph—l ress Association WELLINGTON. This Day. In a statement to the Evening Post Villa D. McLaughlan declared that the report in yesterday’s issue in regard to a national strike of unemployed was unauthorised and certainly neither official nor accurate. The only statements made so far by the National Union of Unemployed had been in writing and signed' by responsible officers and no statement will be made at any time except that bearing the signatures of persons issuing the report. This statement is in reference to yesterday’s declaration that a national strike of the unemployed would not eventuate.
