WEDDING BELLS.
BERRY—PARKER. A quiet wedding was celebrated in the Makuri Hall on 28th June, the contracting parties being Grace Edna, second daughter of Sir and Mrs W. Parker, of Mjakuri, and Herbert Kenneth, third son of Mrs and the late Mr J. H. Berry, of Pongaroa. The Rev. P. AViltshire officiated and Aliss E. Kent, cousin of the bridegroom, presided at the organ. The bride, who was given awav by her father, wore a graceful ankle-length gown of pale blue satin, made on tight-fitting lines, with a circular cape trimmed with fur. Her beautiful embroidered net veil, kindl.Y lent by her cousin, fell to form a tiam from beneath a circlet of orange blossom. She carried a lovely bouquet of bronze chrysanthemums and maidenhair fern. She was attended by Miss Ivy Berry (sister ol the bridegroom) who wore a pale pink silk net over satin, with white coatee of velvet and hat to maten. She carried a bouquet of pale chrysanthemums The duties of best man were ablv carried out by Mr Stan Berry. After the ceremony, the bride was presented with a' lucky horseshoe by little Lola Berry, About forty relatives were afterwards entertair.ed at the wedding breakfast, where the usual toast's were honoured. Later the liappv couple left by car on their lionevinoon, to be spent in the north The bnde travelled in a blue frock with hat to match. Mr and Mrs Berry’s future home will be at Aliakuri Prior to her marriage Miss Parker was tendered a kitchen tea in the Makuri Hall, when a large number of beautiful presents were received
