SHEEPSKINS AND HIDES.

There was again a keen demand at tli. sale of wool, sheepskins, and hides held at Palmerston North on Wednesday by Abraham and A’i!liams, Ltd. Wool values again appreciated up to P er lb under good competition. For sheepskins bidding was exceptionally brisk, with a general rise of up to lfd per lb. Competition for hides was good, but values depreciated 4d per lb for heavier sorts, while lighter sorts were firm. Calfskins, although a little erratic, can be quoted as firm. The tallow market again showed a marked rise of 2Qs to 40s per toil.
