RUGBY GRADING
W KILL! N ETON’S IN NOV AT I ON. Electric Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, Last Night. An innovation in the method of grading senior teams for this season’s championship competition was decided by the management committee of the Wellington Rugby Union to-night. Tlie scheme provides that there be 16 teams in the senior A grade divided into two distinct divisions with eight teams in each division. The first division will comprise l’onoke, Petone, Eastbourne, Hutt, Wellington, Old Boys, Mari at and Athletic. The second division will include Oriental, University, Miramar, Berhampore, St. Patrick’s College Old Boys, Johnsonville, XT p per Hutt and Mel-rose-Selwvn. At the end of the first round of seven matches the two leading teams in the second division will be promoted to the first division.
