VICTIM OF AIR DISASTER

CORONER SUSPICIOUS POSSIBLY . SET PLANE AFIRE. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, April 4. The coroner at Salford* who is investigating the death of Albert Voss, of Manchester, who jumped from the Imperial Airways liner City of Liverpool when it crashed in Flanders, has issued a statement to the Press. The statement of the coroner show's that Scotland Yard communicated with the Salford police in. consequence of information received from Imperial Airways. The coroner states that the fire broke out near where Voss sat. He must have flung himself from the aeroplane immediately. The fingers of Voss’s left hand were badly burned. He was insured fpr £SOO for the flight besides other policies. Voss undoubtedly was financially embarrassed. He was wanted by the police for alleged embezzlement in Germany. It is now questioned whether the schoolgirl victim of the disaster, hitherto described as Voss’s niece, was any relation.
