FATALLY INJURED
KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR
Electric Telegraph—Press Association INVERCARGILL. August 20. Mr Dennis Ryan, a single man of Invercargill, was knocked down by a car on the North Road this evening and received injuries to his head which subsequently proved fatal. It is stated that deceased and another man were walking along the road wheeling bicycles when they were overtaken by a motorist. An ambulance was called, but Mr Ryan died before lie reached hospital.
