WAIKATO MAN DEFEATED

Electric Telegraph—Press Association WELLINGTON, Last Night. One change in the personnel of the Dairy Produce Board was made by the election which took place to-day to. fill the vacancies caused by the statutoi-y retirement of the producers’ representatives. In Ward 111 (Waikato and Bay of Plenty) the retiring member, Mr S. A. Ferguson, of Motumaoho, Morrinsville, was defeated by Mr C. L. Luke, of Te Puke. For Ward IV (Taranaki), Mr J. Hine, acting-chairman, was re-elect-ed unopposed. For Ward VII (North Canterbury, Westland, Nelson and Marlborough) the retiring member, Mr H. T. Chapman, of Little River, was reelected by a comfortable majority.
