There was an entry of 2720 fat lambs and the quality was very mixed. \ allies were: Show lambs, 4(ls ; extra prime lambs, to 32s Id; prune, 2os >;.l to 27s 6d ; medium, -I s . 6:1 to 23s 6d : light. 1-s to 2'ts. 1‘ at sheep had a larger entry than usual of between 13 and 14 races. Values were; Prime wethers, 2, s to 2!)s 7d ; medium. 24s to 26s Gd ; light. 10s Gd to 23s 6d; extra prime ewes, to 24s 7tl : prime, l<)s 6d to 225. The entry of 572 head of fat cattle was almost as big as that of the “double” market last December. Sales recorded a sharp decline on last week's rates, all . lasses being down by £1 10s to £2 a head. Best medium-weight prune beef made from 40s to 43s per 100 lbs. with an occasional beast bringing-—, a little above that price; medium’ > qualify from 34s to 3Ss per 100 IDs : heavy steer, from 33s to 375; good cow. 30s to 345; secondary, -Is G.l to ->8 S Gd ; fight and rough, down to 22 s.
