THE LATE MR. PATRICK GALVIN.
WELD-KNOWN RESIDENT In the Pahiutun Public Hosjiital on Thursday evening the death occurred of an old and esteemed, identitv of the district in the person of Air Patrick Galvin, at the age of 76 years. He was horn in County Limerick. Ireland, and came out to New Zealand when quite a young mail. He first settled at New Plymouth and for .sonic time was a member of the police force. For 25 rears he was t.n the staff of the Railway Department. J»eing stationed, at Hukantii at:d six or seven years ago retired on superannuation. He subsequently took up his residence in Pahintun, whore lie remained till his death. On Sunday last he was admitted to hospital. The deceased who was married in Palmerston North leaves a widow, a large grown-up fa mil v of two sons and eight daughters. They are: Mr -i. Galvin (Wellington!, Mr William (•; 1, vin (Carl <it onl.
