WOMEN'S INSTITUTE

PONGAROA MEETING. The usual monthly meeting of the Pongaroa Women’s Institute was held in the Foresters’ Hall on February 14th. Mrs Pickett and Airs Davies, with the president. Airs Robertson, were the delegates elected to represent this branch at the Palmerston North meeting on Alareh 18th. Airs L. Johnston’s competition was won by Mrs Bird. Airs Pickett won the musical parcel game. The singing of the National Anthem brought a very enjoyable afternoon to a. close. Airs J. Polglase and Aliss N. Berry were the hostesses for the day.
