TWO ARABIAN KNIGHTS
Love and laughter, with two British soldiers and c.n Arab girl as the principals, are the principal ingredients of “Two Arabian Knights’ post-war comedy-drama which will he seen on Tuesday and Wednesday at tli-. King’s Theatre. None of the sordiduess of war enters the story, which is concerned with the rollicking experiences of a rich, young private and a hard-boiled first, sergeant, fated to he bmld.es throughout a series of hilarious adventures, though they had been natural enemies. William Boyd plays the stellar role which is' this star’s first appearance in a major film since his work in “The Volga Boatman.” With Boyd is Alary Aster. who played opposite John Barrymore in “Beau Brnminel.’’ In the film, two soldiers escaping from an enemy prison camp in Aran attire, find themselves shunted to, Arabia, and helpless to prevent it. The things that happen to them may lie funny to the spectator, Ji,ut they arc serious to the soldiers. However, with true British spirit they meet each obstacle lightly, overcome it, and pass on to a, worse one. They have nothing hut trouble until they meet an Arab girl of high rank. Then they have, twice as much trouble for both fall in love with heir, lu the end the profane sergeant assists his young buddy in escaping with the beauty of Jaffa. Comedy, Review and World’s News complete a fine programme.
