THE APACHE AND BABY MINE—SATURDAY’S PROGRAMME.

“The Apache” is an all-British production filmed on the exact Paris locales which appear in the film. As The Panther. Adelqui Millar is excellent, and his facial expressions when registering passion of any sort ar e well restrained and not posed. Picture-goers have seen Millar on two occasions previously; in Dorothy Gish’s “London” and in “The Moon of Israel.” Playing the part of Linotto is Mona Vlarris, an extraordinary type of beauty. A feature of the production is the magnificent scenes, the like of which no American film has had; and the scenes in the slums ar e real. In addition, “Baby Mine” is one of the funniest comedies where the heroes of “Rookies” are now drawing large audiences with their latest comedy vehicle. Charlotte Greenwood’s love scenes with Karl Dane especially those in which he alleges he has been shanghaied into marrying her —and the midget who masquerades as a baby—the twins and triplets of all sizes and colours that are hired, borrowed and stolen, these are amomjst the very best comedy scenes ever produced “Collegians,” No 16.. with gazettes, complete a splendid programme.
