WITH SLOTTED WINGS. Slotted wings, which have been described as the greatest advance made since man first learned to fiv, were thoroughly tested for th e first time in the Dominion by Captain M. Buckley, of the New Zealand Permanent Air Force, on the AvroAvian aeroplane. Captain Buckley, who was recently married in Palmerston North, brought M<rs Buckley back to Christchurch in Captain K. Hall’s new Avro-Avian. On his wedding tour he tested the slotted wings, and he considers that they are wonderful, and that they will make aviation very safe for .learners.
