BOXING DAY OUTING. Always a favourite outing for Boxing day, the Mangatainoka, sports promise patron® an even more interesting time than usual on 4Vednesday next. Tlie Whippet races are being keenly looked forward to by many who have not witnessed this ex hill rating sport. The cycle events should also prove very exciting while goocr fields h ave nominated for the running events. Entries for the piping :and dancing competitions will be received on the ground. Luncheon, afternoon tea. soft drinks and sweets will he obtainable on the ground and t.bo day’s gathering will be brought to a. close with the usual ball in the Library Hall in th© evening, for which an excellent orchestra has been engaged to play the latest and liveliest dance music.
