THE WINNERS. A guessing competition in aid of St Mark’s Anglican Ladies’ Guild, for a cake donated by Mrs Alisopp, was drawn on Wednesday night. The correct number in the bottle was 437 and the nearest guess was that of Mrs J. Pryde (Huawhatal with 440. The guessing competition for the gramophone donated by Air C. M. Burt, in aid of the Plunkef Society and Municipal Band bazaar fund, was won by Mr Bernard Hansen with a guess of BG4, the correct number being 859.
