MEETING OF FEDERATION

pn-. tvLr. Teleirrapb—Press's Association NEW PLYMOUTH, November 21. The annual conference of the Dominion Waterside Workers’ Federation opened this morning under the presidency of Mr L. Glover. About thirty delegates were present, representing all the ports and were officially welcomed by the Mayor. After the president had replied to the welcome the conference went into committee. This afternoon the delegates will he driven round the town and neighbourhood as guests of the borough council. Mr Glover referred t 0 the movement to concentrate overseas shipping at the main ports which the federation does not favour.
