GISBORNE FARMER’S DEATH! Electric Telegraph— frees Association GISBORNE, This Day. James McKinley, farmer, of Makanri, died in hospital, where he was taken on Thursday when found in a semi-conscious condition. After regaining consciousness on Sunday, deceased explained that while out riding he suddenly felt giddy, and got off his horse. He could not remember anything after that. An examination disclosed no injury which would have been received by a fall. An inqnes'G will be held to-morrow. WANGANUI RESIDENT WOUNDED. WANGANUI, Last Night. Douglas Kennedy, found lying wounded on the river banks this afternoon with a pea rifle alongside him, died before the doctor arrived.
Kennedy was a native of Napier. For the past five months he had been employed here by the Texas Oil Co.
