FINE OF £SO IMPOSED

George Lambert Bruce Wliilliams, a storekeeper at Fordeli, was fined £SO for being in a state of intoxication while in charge of a motor car. Evidence was given for the defence that he was a sober man apart from this lapse. The mag'strate, Mr Barton. accepted this evidence and •said he would not cancel the license, but would reflect it in the fine.
