FATALITY AT TANNERY
ANOTHER MAN INJURED. Electric Telegraph—Press Association AUCKLAND, Last Night, An accident involving the death of one man and injuries to another occurred at Alexander Donald’s tannery at Drury shortly after 8 o’clock this morning, when a machine used for the drawing of wool burst into fragments and two of the workers in the vicinity were struck by the living metal. Alexander Donald, a married man with 3 children, residing at Pukekohe, received injuries to the stomach and one thigh. George Rolton. a married man with 2 children, residing at Papakura, had his left arm broken and receiver very serious injuries from which be died on the way to the Auckland hospital. The cause of the explosion is a mystery. The plant liad been used during the past week and appeared to- be working quite satisfactorily.
