SHOWERY CONI)ITIONS. At 2 p.m. co-day tbe Government Meteorologist (Mr D. C. Bates) telegraphed the following prophecy:— The indications are for westerly winds strong to gale and backing by west to south. Expect changeable and showery weather. The night will probably be very cold, with tlie barometer rising soon.
